My Life Principles
- Believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God for Salvation (eternal life, godliness, the kingdom and glory) and every inheritance in Christ – Matt. 1:18-23; Mk. 1:15; Lk. 2:1-11; Jn.3:16;4:19-26, 42; 6:28-29; 37-40, 47-44-47; 10:9-15, 27-31; 17:1-3;21:30, 31; Acts 2:21, 38, 39; 5:31; 16:30, 31; 22:14-16; 26:14-18; Rom. 5:15-17; 6:23; 10:6-12; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; Col. 1:3-27; Eph. 1:3-14; 3:4-10; 5:1-9; 1 Thess 2:11-13; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 2 Pet. 1:3-11; 1 Jn. 2:24; 4:14, 15; 5:1, 20.
- Fear God, love and honour Him and obey all His commands, thus loving God, the brethren and neighbour and also obeying all commands of Jesus accordingly – Deut. 4:1-40; 6:4-6; 31:12, 13; 1 Sam. 2:30; Eccl 12:13, 14; Matt. 22:37-39; 28:18-20; Jn. 13:34, 35; 1 Cor. 8:3; Heb. 12:28, 29; 1 Jn. 2:5, 15-17; 3: 18, 23, 24;4:6-21; 5:2-5.
- Trust in God, and do His perfect Will (on the clear guidelines of Scripture not just allowing circumstantial expediency) in humility and the fear of the Lord – Gen. 22:14; Prov. 3:5-7; 22:4; Is. 11:2-6; Jn. 6:39, 40; 7:17; Acts 20:18-35; Rom. 12:1-3; Phil. 2:5-13; 3:5-13; 1 Thess. 4:1-12; Heb. 11:1-3, 6.
- Worship and Serve God in spirit and in truth as a steward (Jn. 4:23, 24; Matt. 4:10; 1 Thess. 1:9, 10; Rom. 12:1, 2; 1 Cor. 4:1, 2).
- Seek the Lord and His kingdom with the heart – 1 Chron. 16:8-11; Jer. 29:13; Matt. 6:33; Acts 1:1-3; 28:30, 31; Rom. 14:17-19; 1 Cor. 2:6-16; 4:1, 2.
- Follow after Christ-like character and also covet or strongly desire charisma in life and ministry – Matt. 5:1-16; 28:18-20; Acts 11:19-26; 1 Cor. 12:1-11, 28-31; 14:1; Gal. 5:22, 23; 1 Pet. 4:7-11; 2 Pet. 1:3-11.
- Pursue Peace and Holiness (Heb. 12:14) by keeping the Unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace(Eph. 4:3) and growing in grace and in the knowledge of Christ until the Church, all the saints gain the Unity of the Faith unto maturity or holiness in Christ (Eph. 4:13; cf. Acts 2:42-47; Eph. 3:14-21; Heb. 10:24, 25; 2 Pet. 3:8-18).
- Owe no man anything but to live, learn, love and leave godly legacy – Gen. 1:26-28; 18:18, 19; 1 Kgs 2:1-12; Ps. 78:70-72; Is. 59:19-21; Matt. 5:44-48; 28:18-20; Rom. 13:8; 1 Cor. 4:1-2, 14-16; 2 Cor. 12:14; 2 Tim. 2:2; 2 Pet. 1:12-18.
- Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God – Micah 6:8 and be ethically sound – 1 Thess. 4:1-12; thus overcoming evil only with good – Rom. 12:21; 1 Jn. 5:1-5, 16-21.
- Live by the grace of God and the faith of Christ to apply biblical precepts and principles as practical Truth of the Word – 1 Chron. 16:12-22; Matt. 13: 10-11, 52; Acts 20:27; Rom. 15:1-7 (v4); 1 Cor 4:1, 2; 10:1-11, 31 (v6, 11); Gal. 2:16-22; 3:22; Phil. 1:21; 3:3-17; Col. 3:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; 3:15-17; Tit. 2:11-15.
- Learn to hear God’s voice through obeying the three voices of the believer’s spirit (inner man) (Job. 32:8; Prov. 20:27; 1 Jn. 2:20, 27) with a balanced activity of the fullness of both the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18-21) and the Word (Col. 3:15-17):
- the inner witness or intuitive component of the regenerated human spirit - Ps. 18:28; Prov. 18:14; Ezek. 36:26; Rom 8:16; 1 Jn 5:10, 11;
- the inner voice or conscience (the component of the human spirit that distinguishes right from wrong as a result of the moral awareness or understanding that springs from and is conditioned by one's knowledge of God and his duties to Him i. e. the testimony of the Spirit in man's heart concerning his obligation to God) - Acts 23:1; 24:16; Rom 9:1; 2 Cor. 1:12; 1 Tim. 1:5; Heb. 9:14; but more importantly;
- the voice of the Holy Spirit or communion component of the regenerated human spirit - authoritative and sometimes audible – Acts 8:30; 10:19; 16:6, 7. (You need the two phases of Holy Spirit activity i. e. the New Birth and the Holy Spirit Baptism to well experience hearing this voice of the Spirit – John 4:10-14; 7:37-39 or Acts 8:5-12, 14-17).
